Police Selling Gangster Bling on eBay

Police officers in the UK are taking an interesting approach to dealing with the illegal items that have been confiscated from criminals. They're taking the items and posting them for sale on an online auction on eBay. That's right; people can actually go on to eBay and purchase items that were stolen from their original owners by gangsters. The money earned from the sale will go to the Home Office and the Leicestershire Constabulary. In other words, the government is profiting off of the sale of the goods that crooks have stolen.

What do you think of this? Some people think it's a genius idea. Others say that the police shouldn't be allowed to hold such a sale.

What is certain is that we can learn a little bit about online sales of various items from following the results of the eBay auction. Apparently buyers have been particularly interested in buying electronic goods like televisions and video game consoles. If you have used items like this to sell then eBay is a good place to make the sale. However, gold jewelry hasn't been selling too well at all through the site. If you want to sell gold jewelry for cash then you should skip eBay and use an online pawn shop to complete the transaction.
