I have always been one to follow instructions to the letter. Whether it was instructions to assemble a piece of furniture, or the proper maintenance procedures for equipment, I always make sure to follow things to the letter - it usually works out better that way.
For example, I used the recommended oils for home shredder maintenance for many years, but eventually, my personal shredder eventually quit working. I guess that it is a fact of life, but it still doesn't make it any better.
So, when it came time to find a new paper shredder, I wanted to make sure that I purchased a good one that would last a long time. My last one had a life of about ten years and I would be happy to buy another one that would last that long.
I thought that I would see if there was a personal Destroyit shredder available - we use that brand down at the office and it has been a reliable workhorse. But when I looked online, I was sad to discover that they didn't make personal shredders - so I had to find something else.
In the end, I went with one of the personal Dahle shredders that are available on the market. The reviews that I read suggested that they offered some of the best personal shredders on the market. So far my experiences using this type of business equipment have been very positive and I look forward to the next ten years of using it.

I wish a lot more of the commercial paper shredder companies would offer shredders for home use.
